Ohio KePRO is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in the Medicare quality improvement
program this year! Since 1999, when we joined the program in the 6th Statement of
Work, we have been committed to working with healthcare providers and stakeholders
to improve the quality of care for Ohio’s Medicare beneficiary population, which
has grown from 1.7 million to over 1.8 million.
Over the past decade, we’ve continued to work toward the goal of a healthcare system
in which every person receives the right care every time. To achieve this goal,
we’ve reached out to healthcare providers and beneficiaries:
-
Healthcare Providers
We are proud to have established relationships with providers and stakeholder organizations
throughout the state, including metropolitan and rural areas. We have worked with
these professionals to achieve measurable results in each of the last four Statements
of Work, including projects related to healthcare information technology, care management,
culturally and linguistically appropriate services, and surgical safety.

-
Medicare Beneficiaries
We are committed to helping beneficiaries understand their Medicare rights and obtain
the quality of care they deserve. Ohio KePRO continues to operate the Medicare Beneficiary
Helpline at 1.800.589.7337 seven days a week to help beneficiaries and their families
or other representatives with quality of care or appeals concerns. Since 1999, our
helpline staff has fielded more than 36,000 calls.

To mark our 10th anniversary, we’ve created a downloadable media kit, including an overview of the Quality Improvement
Organization (QIO) Program, highlights and landmarks from the past ten years and
the current Statement of Work, and information about the Ohio KePRO team.
