Ohio Immunization Partners for Healthy Adults

Mission

To foster comprehensive, sustained state and community programs for the immunization of Ohio’s adults against vaccine-preventable diseases.

About Us

Ohio Immunization Partners for Healthy Adults (OIPHA), formerly known as Partners for Healthy Seniors, was founded in 1996 “to foster comprehensive, sustained state and community programs for the immunization of Ohio’s adults against vaccine-preventable diseases.” To fulfill this mission, OIPHA strives to share information on local and regional healthcare strategies and to ensure consistent messaging to the senior population and their healthcare providers regarding recommended immunizations.

The coalition includes statewide representation from many stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including the Ohio Department of Health, Palmetto GBA, the Ohio Pharmacists Association, the Ohio Hospital Association, and Ohio KePRO. Goals

  • Disseminate adult immunization information to health professionals and their organizations through educational offerings and resources.
  • Obtain a proclamation from Ohio’s Governor for National Adult Immunization Week.
  • Engage Area Agency on Aging organizations, Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) and physician practices to increase membership and promote all adult immunizations.
