contributing to 15 percent of cancer-related deaths in women in 2008, according
to the American Cancer Society.

A mammogram is the most reliable way to detect breast cancer. Medicare covers 80
percent for an annual mammogram for women with Medicare over the age of forty, as
well as a single baseline mammogram for women with Medicare between age 35 and 39.
